M42 Sport Edition Design 2723

Today I had a nice sail on hull #2 of the Morris M42 with the "sport" package. This consists of the shorter M36 deckhouse on the M42 hull. Its a great combination. The headroom is not an issue, as there is plenty. The shorter house not only looks better but it puts the jib track back down on the deck and gives 9% more sail area. Fantastic looking and a great sailing boat. I could easily use this as a cruising boat.

This is hull #2 with this configuration. You can see the first in the background among this nice flotilla of M-Series boats. This is in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Click here for more information.

Note this is a "base model" boat with no teak decks, and no teak cladding on the house. The only options are the roller furling boom and the life lines, pulpit and pushpit.
