Design 1689 Inverness
Built by Derecktor Shipyard for a Commodore of the New York Yacht Club, Inverness was launched in 1963. She is constructed of wood.
In her very first year the keel was modified, and the bottom of the keel brough to a "V", versus a simple radius and the lead that was removed was added to the forward end of the keel (trim problem?). She is reportedly (still) a very quick boat and has a reasonably good racing record, for example winning her class in the Bermuda Race of 1966.
Here are the plans.
