Design 2407 C1 Kerina

Heres an interesting design that frankly took me a bit of research just to figure out who built it. The design is based on a boat named Marac, design #2407. She was a custom one-off I.O.R. racing yacht that was yet another offshoot of the yacht Challenge, design #2381. She was constructed by Ocean Racing Yachts of Aukland, New Zealand and launched in 1981. She was constructed of composites.

Here are the general arrangement and sail plans for Marac.

The 2407-C1 design was a modified Marac, where the hull, rig and appendages have been used but she has been made into a cruising boat. Kempthorne Boat Builders of Whangerei, New Zealand built the hull & decks around 1983-84 with 3 or 4 hulls built. The interiors were finished off by Roy Davis (or Davies) in Whangarei.

Here are the plans. Keep in mind the hull, appendages and rig for #2407 were used. Also note in the image at the top that somewhere along the line someone added a sugar scoop transom.
